
If you enjoy French Onion Soup, you will enjoy this too. Found this on Facebook and had to make it.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup long grain white rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
- 1 10.5 ounce can French onion soup
- 1 Stick unsalted butter, sliced into 12 slices
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Spray an 8 x 8 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Stir together the beef broth and onion soup mix.
- Spread the rice in the baking dish.
- Pour in the beef broth mixture and the French onion soup. Gently stir.
- Top the rice with the sliced butter.
- Cover the baking dish with foil. Bake for 30 minutes.
- Uncover the baking dish. Bake another 30 minutes.
Notes:
- Be sure to cover the rice with the liquid. This will help cook the rice perfectly.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with foil for the first 30 minutes of cooking.
- You can also top the dish with fresh cut green onions, cherry tomatoes, peas or other small veggies.
